YAY!
Thu, 3rd Dec, 2009 10:56 CST
Santas! Santas! Its my birthday Saturday! I can't wait to find you all and tell you how naughty and nice I've been!
Wed, 2nd Dec, 2009 22:04 CST
We'll have a short bus and another vehicle to transport about 50+ Santas. Maybe more. If you have a large vehicle and would like to take more Santas,
that would be great. Many of you folks may want to have your cars or transport parked downtown anyway since that's where we will end up at night at
the end of it all. That makes gettig back to your cars easier. You may want to have a few bucks on your for parking if you intend to do such.

Rough schedule:

U-Joint 2-3 pm
Head downtown 3 pm
Pritchard Park
Fashion show and oversized presents near Vance monument in the center of downtown.
Tour some stores downtown, sing some songs
Head over to Asheville Pizza and Brewing on Coxe for more rowdiness, songs, beer and pizza
Grove Park Inn (parking in neighborhood around the grove park and walking a few min to get there)
Trophy Club (or whatever it is called now; may require a small entry fee)
Back downtown, tour some bars and stores, do some Santa downs
White Ball at Club 828 (the old Hookah Joes) (ending here) http://club828.com/
Possible afterparty at a house in West Asheville?

If we make good timing, we may want to hit a few more bars or stores. let's play it by ear depending on the weather and the timing of everything. The
most important aspect of the event is to have FUN!

We talked to the white ball people and instead of $10/head, we get a discount of $7/head. Bring cash and your ID. they will not let you in without this.

Also, if you plan on taking our transport (short bus and another vehicle), please bring an extra $5-7 cash to help pay for the rental fee.

I would like to have as many fashion show models as possible so dress to impress, or bring your extra costumery!
Also, if you've made any oversized presents- you can either drop them off at Robby's in advance or bring them to the U-Joint.

There will be limited space on each vehicle. You can bring some beer and drinks and a bag for the vehciles, but don't bring a big huge sack of s$$t. We
want to fit as many santas as possible on the vehicles and not carry tons of 'stuff'.

If you can't make it to the event by 3 pm, please get a phone number of one of your friends or contacts that will be on the tour and keep in contact that
way in case you want to hook up with us later on.

My cell is 828-337-1765. My costume doesn't have pockets so while I will try to keep my cell on me, I can not promise I will answer, but can call you
back and will be checking it a lot. I may also be driving and may not be able to answer right away/ But call me if you have any questions in advance or
need to find out our coordinates.

We'll have song books for everyone.

Things to bring to SantaCon:
Santa or related Christmas costume
Christmas candy to give away downtown
(No fruitcakes this year)
little bottles of liquor for the bums
Cash for dinner and Trophy club/white ball entrance fee.
good walking shoes
snacks
water and or secret beverages
camera

See you this Saturday, you freaking Ho Ho Hos

ASHEVILLE SANTACON

Starts at 2-3 pm at the NEW U-joint (Universal Joint) in West Asheville,
784 Haywood Rd, 28806-3137

The lowdown is that all us Santas will be meeting for snacks and drinks at 2 pm at the U-joint. They have great food and a good selection of beer. Since we have a tight schedule regarding daylight hours, we would like to leave there around 3 pm for downtown Asheville. If you don't get there by 3pm, you may miss our departure.

So is everyone moving downtown too? A lot of Santas want to make sure we end up in downtown by 7-8ish

The aforementioned pre-party and the after party are at location to remain undisclosed and are by invitation only. Sorry, but the host doesn't want them to get too crazy big with unknown persons.

It starts at 3pm at Rocket Club off of Haywood Rd. There's also a pre-party noon-3 at someone's house on Riverview Rd., but I don't know the exact address. Public transportation will be used to get around.
