Dear Santa:

You know everything! You know that only the TRUE santa with TRUE holiday spirit can make his fun whereever he is - Santa, thank you for spreading the redtide everywhere thoughtout the day and evening. Any fake santas who need to know everythind and are afraid to oooh! risk being alone in a red suit in nyc should go...no, STAY in their fake north pole.

candy canes and stripper poles to you, santa!

You could use a lesson from the Reno Santa Pub Crawl. They had 7 start bars. Check out their map at: http://www.renosantacrawl.com/

All Santas met under the Reno arch at midnight for a carols and a few snowballs.

Dear Santa:
Next year please plan this event better. I was very disappointed in the fact that no one ever seemed to know where or when we were supposed to move from place to place. I thought the whole point of Santacon was to travel as a group. At least for the most part. For those of you Santas that think Santa needs defending, I'm guessing you're all just the kind of "yes men" I hate meeting in this city! By the way, for the person that said that no place in NYC could handle 7,000 people, I'm pretty sure Central Park could have. Also, if you announce some kind of rough schedule in advance, then maybe you wouldn't have all 7,000 start at 10am and it would just grow gradually! It's an amzing concept, just very poorly executed this year!

I can see the need for multiple starting points - we started at Franklin Park and it had spilled out to the streets by 10:30. Can't think of any single place where several thousand Santas can drink and not be arrested.

However, once Santa decided to go on the move from Franklin Park no one seemed to know were we were going. We made it to the Botanical Gardens and people started going off on their own. Only a small portion made it to Stone St. We did make it to Washington Sq. Park but from the posts here it looks like the other starting points never joined.

Suggestion for next year - have a "lead" Santa at each location (that can be identified) that is in communication with the other locations. Plan in advance when Santa will move and where to and when all the groups will join.

Probably a long shot but does anyone know who the Santa in the Mike Myers mask was?? We met in Greenwich Village where I was doing 12 Bars of Christmas and he has some photos/videos I'd like to see...
